Create a ShopTasks task for unfulfilled Shopify orders that need a person

1. When

   Order created (with a delay), or order tagged

2. If
   • Fulfillment status is unfulfilled after your waiting period, or
   • Order is tagged `waiting-on-customer` or `on-hold`
3. Then

   Create ShopTasks task: Follow up on unfulfilled order #{{order.name}}

   Find the blocker — missing address, stock, payment, or customer reply — and assign the role that can clear it.

   Support or operations

5. Outcome

   Aging unfulfilled orders appear as assigned tasks instead of only as rows in an unfulfilled report. Someone is responsible for the next customer contact or stock check.

Why this workflow exists

Stores already filter unfulfilled orders. The gap is ownership on the ones that will not ship without a human step. Flow creates that ownership when the wait time or tag says the order is stuck.

How to set it up

1. Do not create a task for every unfulfilled order in a same-day fulfilment model — you will ignore the board.
2. Prefer a delay (for example 24 hours still unfulfilled) or a tag your team already applies when an order is blocked.
3. Link the ShopTasks task to the order. Put the suspected blocker in the task title when you know it.
4. Assign support if the next step is contacting the customer; assign warehouse if the next step is a stock check.
